ocean rescue, lag b,omer

This week Ocean rescue workers came to our school and spoke to us about their job.  We also started learning about Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai and lag b'omer.  We learned how he hid in a cave for many years learning Torah.  We learned about the carob tree and the stream hashem made by the cave.  We also started our lag b'omer project that we will be sending home next week.

We had Ocean Rescue workers come visit us

They spoke to us about the beach warning flags.  A red flag means there is no swimming allowed.

They spoke to us about what to do if we were to get caught in a rip current. We learned we shouldn't swim against the current but try to swim to the side.

We even got to go on the rescue jet ski
