welcome back morah sarah, safari theme and more!

What an amazing week we had as the children and I got to know each other.  We giggled and laughed as we played a variety of name games during circle time.  The children were also introduced to our new theme, the safari.  We looked at pictures of different animals found in the safaris in Africa and read a book entitled Giraffes Can't Dance.  We had a blast pretending to be the different animals found in the safari.  To help build our literacy skills, we played alphabet bingo and stamped our name at the writing center.

We also spoke about the "3 B's". 1. Be Safe 2. Be Kind 3. Be the Best You Can Be.  We went around the room and shared examples of how we can follow the "3 B's.  The "3 B's" were reinforced all week and will continue to be encouraged in our classroom.  Next week, we will focus on being safe in our classroom.  Please send in a mitzvah note regarding any "safe choices" made at home.

I look forward to next week as we continue our safari theme by making a classroom safari and other meaningful fun activities!
